By Lauren Mendelsohn
Yesterday, the United States Department of Food & Agriculture (USDA) announced that it was extending the deadline to submit comments on its U.S. Domestic Hemp Production Program interim final rule. We previously discussed the USDA’s interim final rule here and here. Comments must now be submitted by January 29, 2020 in order to be considered. Previously, the deadline was December 30, 2019. This additional time will provide stakeholders with more opportunity to comment on the regulation.
Comments can be submitted online at www.regulations.gov; by mail to Docket Clerk, Marketing Order and Agreement Division, Specialty Crops Program, AMS, USDA, 1400 Independence Avenue SW, STOP 0237, Washington, DC 20250-0237; or by fax at (202) 720-8938.
