CLE: “Hemp Law 101”

Our Senior Associate Attorney Lauren Mendelsohn will be presenting a live virtual Continuing Legal Education (CLE) seminar about hemp on May 28, 2020 from 3:00pm – 4:00pm. This seminar will go over the current federal, state and local laws and regulations governing industrial hemp and hemp-derived products. Particular focus will be given to the 2018 Farm Bill, the USDA’s Interim Final Regulations for Hemp Production, the California Industrial Hemp Farming Act, and Sonoma County’s industrial hemp ordinance (including the application process). The differences and similarities between hemp and cannabis will also be discussed, in addition to hot topics such as intellectual property protection, FDA oversight of CBD products, and the vaping crisis.
This event is hosted by the Sonoma County Bar Association and is open to the public. CLE credits will be available for lawyers.
