Department of Cannabis Control Publishes Initial Consolidated Regulations

California’s new cannabis regulatory agency, the Department of Cannabis Control (formed via the combination of the Bureau of Cannabis Control, the Manufactured Cannabis Safety Branch and CalCannabis Cultivation Licensing), has consolidated the three sets of cannabis regulations into one unified location. Instead of being located in Titles 3, 16 and 17 of the California Code of Regulations (CCR) all of the cannabis regulations will now be located in Title 4 of the CCR. Reportedly, no substantive changes were made to the regulations at this time, only renumbering them. That being said, one can expect some changes to the requirements in the near future.
